LAMPASAS (February 21, 2013)--VFW Post 8539 is celebrating its new look Saturday with a public celebration.
The post has been in existence for more than 50 years and has recently undergone several changes to restore its former reputation.
No longer home to Club V, the organization has spent thousands of dollars on repairs, security devices and veteran programs.
Members will hold a public celebration at their facility at 481 N. Hwy. 183.
The event begins at noon and will include entertainment and refreshments.
