MOODY (July 18, 2013)--A Moody woman was held Thursday in the McLennan County Jail charged in connection with an assault on an officer who was trying to arrest her on a warrant for injury to a child.

Nichole Holloway, 34, was facing charges of injury to a child, resisting arrest and assault on a public servant, online jail records showed.

Moody police Chief Christian Veselka said he went to Holloway's home at about 12:30 p.m. Wednesday to arrest her on the injury to a child warrant, but when he tried to take her into custody she resisted and he was bitten.

The arrest warrant was issued after police investigating a case involving injury to a 1-year-old child who’s now is in Child Protective Services custody, Veselka said.
