MCGREGOR (February 20, 2013)--A man accused of inappropriately touching a female McGregor police officer after he was arrested faces additional charges.

Edward Wayne Johnson, Jr., 32, was ordered held in lieu of bonds totaling $15,000, charged with assault on a peace officer, indecent exposure and failure to appear on a theft of service on a warrant out of Brown County.

A McGregor police detective said the female officer whose name wasn’t released arrested a man on a Brown County warrant and as she was handcuffing the suspect, he touched her inappropriately several times.

After the man was cuffed and placed in the back seat of a patrol car, he began to disrobe and fondle himself.

Johnson was booked into jail on the Brown County warrant but before McGregor police could obtain warrants on their charges, Johnson had bonded out and left the jail.

He was shortly re-arrested in Llano County and returned to Waco to face the McGregor charges.
