MCGREGOR (November 27, 2012)--A benefit will be held for 13-year-old cancer patient Caleb Norman, of Moody, Saturday.

Caleb was diagnosed in June with Rhabdomyosarcoma, a cancerous, malignant tumor of the muscles that are attached to the bones.

Rhabdomyosarcoma is the most common soft tissue tumor in children but remains a rare form of children’s cancer, according to PubMed Health.

PubMed Health is an electronic medical library provided by the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) at the U.S. National Library of Medicine (NLM).

Saturday’s benefit will be held at the AMA Hall from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m.

The cost is $5 per person or $20 for a family of five.

The cost covers a variety of live music entertainment, a live auction and a chance to win door prizes.

Plates of Mexican food will be available for $6, or $7 with a drink.

Raffle tickets will be sold for $1 each.

The auction will get underway at 4 p.m. and will end at 6 p.m.

The AMA Hall is located at 310 Mulberry Drive.
