MINERVA (November 6, 2012)--Volunteer firefighters from three departments were able to contain a structure fire to two bedrooms early Monday morning, a Minerva volunteer firefighter said.

The fire broke out at about 4 a.m. on Cedar Grove Road and required aid from Minerva, Cameron and Rockdale volunteer fire departments.

At least two people were living in the home but were able to get out safely and residents in the community were helping the residents move out their belongings, a spokesperson said.

Fire officials say that the house could have easily been a total loss but was contained early on.
