MOODY (September 26, 2013)—Moody police assisted by Coryell County sheriff’s deputies and Gatesville police served a search warrant Thursday in connection with a cabinet shop burglary and ended up arresting six people.
The warrant was served at a residence on CR 339 in connection with the break-in at the cabinet-making shop earlier this week in Moody.
Officers seized eight guns, two of which were prohibited weapons, a handgun, marijuana, crystal methamphetamine, paraphernalia and scales which are commonly associated with distribution of illegal narcotics, police said in a press release Thursday.
Two people were arrested for burglary of a building and four others for engaging in organized criminal activity.
Five of the six arrested remained in custody Thursday evening, two in the Coryell County Jail and three in the McLennan County Jail, police said.
The names of the suspects weren’t released Thursday.
