MOODY (September 21, 2012)-Around 5,000 people are expected to attend the 13th annual Moody Cotton Harvest Festival this Saturday.
The free, public event will start with a parade at 10 a.m. and end at 10 p.m.
There will be plenty of entertainment with a pie contest, kids inflatable land, on-stage music, water wars, carnival rides, and arts and crafts.
A number of food vendors will offer treats like funnel cakes and snow cones as well as hamburgers and fajitas.
The Moody Chamber of Commerce will sponsor a catfish dinner from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Moody Elementary School cafeteria, located on N. Avenue E.
Advance tickets for the catfish dinner are $8 per adult and $5 per child, but will be $9 per adult at the door.
The festivities will be held at the intersection of State Highway 317 and Farm Road 107, about 6.8 miles west of exit 315 on I-35.
