ROBINSON (March 20, 2013)—A chain-reaction crash involving five vehicles Tuesday night in Robinson sent four people to a local hospital, two of whom first had to be extricated from their damaged vehicles.

None of the victims was seriously hurt, police said Wednesday.

The accident happened at around 6 p.m. Tuesday on northbound U.S. Highway 77 at Newland Drive, where three of the vehicles were stopped at a red light.

The driver of a northbound pickup truck failed to stop, however, and triggered the chain-reaction crash that left a total of five vehicles damaged, police said.

The accident is under investigation, police said Wednesday.
