ROBINSON (December 17, 2012)--Several teachers in Robinson ISD will be surprised with grants from the Robinson Education Foundation, an organization that was formed in the fall to help further education and alleviate budget concerns.
The event is not only exciting for the teachers to see if their ideas were chosen but for the board members who were able to raise more than $20,000 in such a short time.
Earlier this year, teachers submitted their ideas for the grants and will find out Tuesday which ideas made the cut.
Board members will get on a bus Tuesday and head to different campuses to surprise the teachers with the grants.
Anyone who wishes to make a pledge to the foundation have until December of next year to make their payment in full.
