TEMPLE (October 31, 2013) A woman was taken to a Temple hospital Thursday morning after she was injured in a three-vehicle accident in the far western part of the city.
Police and rescue units were sent at around 8 a.m. Thursday to the intersection of State Highway 317 and Trailridge Road after a caller reported an accident.
Firefighters had to pry the injured woman from her SUV and she was taken by ambulance to a hospital for treatment, Temple police Officer Jacob Tatum said.
Investigators say the driver of a Chevrolet Trailblazer was turning off Trailridge onto SH 317 when the SUV collided with a Ford F-150 pickup truck that was traveling on 317.
The force of the collision caused the Trailblazer to spin and eventually hit a beer delivery truck that had stopped in heavy traffic.
The driver of the Trailblazer, the F-150 and the delivery truck drivers were alone in their vehicles.
Neither of the truck drivers was injured.
