TEMPLE (October 1, 2012)—Michael Yakovich, 45, of Temple was in the Bell County Jail Monday charged with two counts of burglary of a building in connection with break-ins at a local thrift store and a photography business.
His bonds total $20,000.
Yakovich was arrested early Saturday morning after officers responded to a report of a burglary at the Scott & White Thrift Store at 1929 N. 3rd St.
As officers arrived, they spotted a man leaving the area with items taken from the building and also recovered other property that wasn’t taken from the thrift store, police said.
Later Saturday officers were sent to The Studio at 305 West Thompson in response to a report of a burglary and determined that the other property recovered after the theft store break-in was taken from the business.
The stolen items were returned to the thrift store and the photography business, police said Monday.
