TEMPLE March 11, 2013)--A Temple man was held Monday in the Bell County Jail charged in connection with an incident in which a knife was pulled on a woman.

Michael Deshun Cooke, 41, was ordered held in lieu of $200,000 bond, charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, according to the jail log.

Temple police Cpl. Christopher Wilcox said officers were sent at around 1 a.m. Sunday to a home in the 500 block of West Ave. V after a caller reported a woman had been attacked by a man with a knife.

A Temple police report says when officers arrived at the address they were met by a woman who told them that a man with whom she was arguing pulled out a knife and threatened her with it.

Police made an arrest at the scene and recovered the knife.
