Jury selection was underway Monday in the murder trial of a Temple teenager who is charged in a shooting in November that left a Temple man dead.

TEMPLE (February 24, 2014) Jury selection was underway Monday in the murder trial of a Temple teenager who is charged in a shooting in November that left a Temple man dead.

Cedric Lilly, 17, is charged in the November 2013 shooting death of Michael Lamar Green, 34, who was found dead the day after the shooting lying on the floor of the front room of his home in the 400 block of South 32nd Street in Temple.

Lilly, who was 16 at the time of the shooting, was certified to stand trial as an adult, 426th District Court records showed.

Lilly has been held in the Bell County Jail on a $100,000 bond since his arrest on Nov. 10, 2013, jail records showed.

He was ordered held in lieu of $100,000 bond.

Green was shot repeatedly, police said.

Paramedics performed CPR in an unsuccessful attempt to revive Green, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
