TEMPLE (September 12, 2012)--Beginning Wednesday, United Way of Central Texas is holding their annual campaign with Baylor University President Judge Ken Starr to be the guest speaker.

“Judge Starr is known for his distinguished career in academia, the law and public service, and has received a multitude of honors and awards. He has also volunteered many hours teaching in the inner city and assisting underprivileged students,” spokesperson Ann Thompson said.

The leadership dinner is scheduled for Wednesday night at the Cultural Activities Center.

Campaign Coordinator Training will be held on Friday and the official campaign kick-off will take place the following Friday, September 21, with the 11th annual Day of Caring.
