TEMPLE (February 5, 2013)--Scott and White Health Plan and the Frank W. Mayborn Civic & Convention Center are working together to bring healthier food to convention center guests.
On Tuesday, a menu was introduced featuring leaner meat, foods with fewer calories and more fruits and vegetables.
The new menu will make its debut at the Temple Parks and Recreation Volunteer Dinner Tuesday night.
Meals that are already being offered through the food service will not be affected and guests will be able to choose from a larger variety.
"All meals can be made healthier by skipping the rolls with butter and eating moderate meat portions," Scott and White Health Plan CEO Allan Einboden said.
