TEMPLE (September 28, 2012)-On Saturday the Temple Police Department will participate in the DEA's Take-Back campaign.
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., citizens may bring in old, unused, and unwanted prescription medication to the Temple Police Department lobby, located at 209 East Avenue A.
Drop-offs will also be accepted at the Temple Police Mobile Command Unit, stationed in the parking lot of the Scott & White Center for Diagnostic Medicine.
The facility is located at the corner of South 31st Street and West Avenue R.
Officers from the department will be on hand to take possession of the medications and ensure their proper disposal, with no questions asked.
Persons wishing to bring in their medications are urged to leave them in their original containers when they drop them off.
