Temple: Local Restaurant Collects Books For Tornado Victims

TEMPLE (June 11, 2013)--Chick-Fil-A will host a “Moore Books For Moore Kids” event to collect new and gently used books to rebuild each library of the teachers who lost their classroom to tornadoes in Moore, Oklahoma on May 30.

The event will take place at both Chick-Fil-A restaurants located at 114 N. 31st or 3306 S. 31st streets from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday, June 22.

The program aims to provide 300-600 books for each of the 78 teachers affected by the tornado.

According to Moore Public Schools, they hope to raise a total of 45,000 books and $5,000 to help their teachers prepare for the upcoming school year.
