TEMPLE (November 30, 2012)--Bonham Middle School students are reaching out to teenagers from abused homes by collecting small items to fill Christmas stockings.
The students hope age appropriate gifts for teens like lotion, makeup, gift cards, and other items, will spread Christmas cheer to those who need it most.
The project is a coordinated effort with GEAR UP which is designed to help young Americans stay in school, develop good study skills and take the right courses to go to college.
Items can be donated by the public and will be collected at the school.
GEAR UP Director Valorie McKamie is spearheading the effort.
