TEMPLE (September 12, 2012)--The Parks and Leisure Services Department is conducting a survey of city residents and park users to find out how often they participate in the city's recreational programs and events.
They also want your input.
"What we hope to gather from this annual survey is feedback and suggestions for further improving the recreation programs and events we offer... We want to keep an open line of communication with our residents to find out what their programming priorities are so we can do our best to make Temple an even better place to live and play," said Ken Cicora, Director of Temple Parks and Leisure Services.
The survey inquires about everything from participation in programming for different ages to ideal programs and activities that should be offered.
"We want to hear from a variety of community members, so we targeted random addresses across Temple to receive a hard copy of the survey by mail. We are also sending it out electronically to our current users, but we want to reach as many of our residents as possible, Cicora said.
A link to the survey is located on their website.
All survey participants will be entered in a drawing for a $50 gift certificate for any Temple Parks and Leisure Services programs.
The survey will be open through September 30.
Once the results are calculated, department staff will meet with the Parks and Leisure Services Advisory Board to address concerns and also plan for future improvements to the recreation programming and facilities.
