TEMPLE (January 28, 2013)--The City of Temple is hosting a meeting Tuesday to discuss the curbside recycling program.
The meeting, slated for 6 p.m. at the Temple College East Campus Pavilion Leopard Room, will include discussion on the program in areas where it is already implemented and there will also be an opportunity for residents to express their thoughts on whether or not the program should expand throughout the city.
The program consists of one day a week in which residents’ recyclable items are collected in lieu of trash.
Currently, about 4,000 people take part in the pilot program.
The meeting will be held at 2600 South 1st Street.
Anyone not able to attend is encouraged to give their comments by calling (254) 298-5725.
