Temple: Sweet Adelines Barbershop Singers Celebrate 30th Anniversary

TEMPLE (November 14, 2012)--Tickets are running out for the Chilsolm Trail Chorus of Sweet Adelines International’s 30th Anniversary Gala.

Seating is limited to 200 people for Saturday’s dinner and performance which will be held at the Wildflower Country Club.

Tickets are $30 per person and no tickets will be sold at the door.

Chilsolm trail, a women’s four-part a capella show chorus, will add their own style to songs like Lee Greenwood’s “God Bless the USA,” Manhattan Transfer’s “Operator” and romantic tunes like “My Romance.”

Directed by Carol Sherer, the chorus is comprised of voices from all across Central Texas and holds weekly rehearsals Thursdays at the Cultural Activities Center on N. 3rd Street.

The gala is a major fundraiser for the nonprofit group who has performed in New York, Russia and Fiji.

The cash bar will open at 6:30 p.m. and a plated dinner will be served at 7 p.m.

The performance will begin at 8 p.m.
