TEMPLE (November 1, 2012)--The Central Texas Veterans Health Care System will take part in National Prosthetics Day by displaying prosthetics for the public to view Thursday.
From 9 a.m. until 1 p.m., at the Olin E. Teague Veterans’ Medical Center, the public can enjoy learning about services the center offers and the durable medical equipment available to those in need.
Vendors will display a myriad of devices for anyone interested in learning about the technology.
The first Thursday in November every year has been set aside to recognize the work of prosthetic and sensory aids employees who work to take care of wounded veterans.
The center is located at 1901 Veterans Memorial Drive.
