TROY (September 18, 2012)--A boil water notice that was issued by the City of Troy Water Department last week is no longer in effect, water authorities said Tuesday.
The notice was for areas of I-35 near the Troy Sewer Plant to the Tajano Bar, located at 17123 I-35N and East Big Elm Road.
The City of Troy Water Department issued the notice after a contractor broke a water main in the area.
City officials say the water has been tested and is safe to consume.
