Waco: Air Charter Business With Dozens Of Jobs To Fill Sets Up Shop

WACO (August 19, 2013 )—Maxflight, an air charter service, is leasing a hangar at Texas State Technical College Airport and has plans to build two facilities at McGregor Executive Airport, officials announced Monday in Waco.

The company and its CEO, Jamie Thomas, were introduced at a news conference Monday afternoon at TSTC.

The owner has said he plans to hire students from the school's aerospace programs to fill positions such as pilot, mechanic, and dispatcher.

Maxflight also buys, sells, and maintains planes.

Within the next five years, the company has to have 25 planes based in Waco and within a year plans to fill 40 positions.

Over the next three years 80 or more could be hired.

Maxflight is headquartered in Dayton, Ohio.

Thomas said the move to Waco is part of the company's expansion efforts.
