WACO (December 20, 2013) A temporary Baylor Bowl Store opened Friday to sell T-shirts, hats, sweatshirts and other spirit products in demand after the Bears’ Big 12 championship football season.
The 2,400-foot pop-up store in the parking lot of the Ferrell Center on University Parks Drive is packed with about $500,000 in merchandise.
The plan is to keep it open through January.
The Bears face the University of Central Florida on Jan. 1 in the Fiesta Bowl.
“We hope this place helps build the excitement leading up to the game and we'll be open even until after the Fiesta Bowl and hopefully, win that and we'll offer even more merchandise here then,” said Matt Ricks, marketing manager for the Baylor Bookstore.
