WACO (October 24, 2012)—A 26-year-old man who was riding his bicycle west on Austin Avenue Wednesday night ran a red light at the 17th street intersection and was struck by a northbound SUV, police said.
The man, who wasn’t identified, suffered facial injuries that were not life threatening, police said.
He was taken to Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center.
He wasn’t wearing a helmet and the bicycle did not have a light, police said.
The two people in the SUV weren’t hurt.
