WACO (August 6, 2012)—After a nationwide search, the Greater Waco Chamber announced Monday it has named career chamber executive Matthew T. Meadors of Evansville, Ind., to succeed James G. Vaughan, Jr., as president and CEO.
Since 2001 Meadors has been CEO of the Southwest Indiana Chamber, which serves a metro population of 350,000 and a tri-state population of 820,000.
Vaughan will retire on Aug. 31 and Meadors will assume the post in mid-September.
“We believe that Matt will lead us into the regional arena where we can look forward to advancing our economic development efforts,” said Chair Stewart R. Kelly.
