WACO (October 18, 2013)--Lawyers who practice at the courthouse in Waco would tell almost anyone that having old gray foxes around the courthouse isn't unusual, unless that fox has four legs.

Last week as a McLennan County Sheriff's deputy was making his rounds securing the courthouse for the night, he thought he saw something out of the ordinary outside a fourth-floor window.

As he made his way into one of the offices at the 10th Court of Appeals he took another look and saw a grey fox sunning himself on the fire escape landing all the way up on the fourth-floor

Deputy Trent Spivey called a couple of lawyers who were in another office to take a look.

As Spivey raised the blinds and just as he shot this picture, the fox got up, walked down the fire escape stairs and disappeared.
