A school-age girl suffered minor injuries Tuesday when she was struck by a car as she crossed a busy local street.

WACO (September 24, 2013)--A school-age girl suffered minor injuries Tuesday when she was struck by a car as she crossed a busy local street.

The accident happened Tuesday afternoon near the intersection of New Road and Bosque Boulevard as the girl crossed Bosque.

She was not in a crosswalk at the time, police said.

The car’s driver didn’t see her, police said.

The girl, whose name wasn’t released, was taken to a local hospital.

No further details were immediately available.
