Waco: Grand Jury Indicts Man For Suspension Bridge Robbery

WACO (November 28, 2012)-- Ruben Miguel Alaniz, 27, who was charged in connection with the knifepoint robbery of two people late in September on the historic Waco Suspension Bridge, was named in an indictment Wednesday charging aggravated robbery (enhanced).

The robbery was reported at around 1:45 a.m. on Sept. 27.

The two victims said they were walking across the bridge when a man approached them, pulled out a knife and demanded their property.

The robber escaped with a small amount of cash and some of the victims' belongings.
