WACO (August 22, 2013)--U.S. Magistrate Jeffrey C. Manske granted a continuance Thursday in the case of a man charged in the robbery of a local credit union.
It was the second continuance Manske has granted in the robbery case of Darryl Rashad Stoglin, 29, who is charged in the July 8 armed holdup of the C-T Waco Credit Union.
Manske set a new date for the detention hearing on Sept. 12.
Stoglin has been in federal custody since his arrest on July 18 in Abilene on a warrant issued in connection with the robbery.
FBI Special Agent Eric Vasys said at the time of Stoglin's arrest Abilene police were serving a drug search warrant on a residence and Stoglin happened to be inside the house when the warrant was served.
When police ran a records check on Stoglin, the FBI bank robbery warrant showed up in his file.
A credit union employee reported the holdup at around 9 a.m. on July 8 and an employee there told officers the robber escaped on foot in the direction of the Colony Apartments at 8014 Woodway Drive.
