Waco: Horse Seized In July Will Be Returned To Owner.

WACO (October 12, 2012)—The last of the four horses seized in July from the property of a Waco woman on Madera Drive will be returned to the owner after a state district judge ruled the state didn’t provide sufficient proof the horse was treated cruelly.

The other three horses and a donkey were ordered returned to the owner after a hearing on July 12.

Custody of the fourth and oldest horse was given to the Central Texas Humane Society, but once an order is signed, the animal will be returned as well.

The animals were seized after officers went to the property at 2100 Madera Dr. several days earlier, and were forced to euthanize a horse because it was in such poor health.
