WACO (November 7, 2012)--A federal judge rejected a woman's guilty plea Wednesday on a charge of receiving stolen government property and ordered her to stand trial.
U.S. District Judge Walter S. Smith, Jr., heard the guilty plea from Angelique Cobbs-Nije, also known as Angelique McRae, but rejected it and set a trial date.
A group of four men and a woman are accused of possessing at least three articles of defense equipment called AN/PEQ 15 Advanced Target Pointer Illuminator Aiming Lasers.
Prosecutors said the group planned to sell the lasers to foreign buyers.
The other defendants already have entered guilty pleas and been sentenced.
