WACO (June 25, 2013)--A Waco teenager bonded out of the McLennan County Jail Tuesday after he was arrested and charged with aggravated sexual assault of an underage girl.
Joe Luis Castro, 17, posted a $20,000 bond Tuesday morning and was released, jail records showed.
Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton said Castro was arrested Monday after police obtained a warrant for him on the aggravated sexual assault charge.
Swanton said the victim, a girl in her early teens, reported the sexual assault to her doctor during a regular visit and the doctor referred the case to Child Protective Services.
CPS then notified Waco police and following a forensic interview obtained a warrant.
Castro was arrested at a residence at 800 North 60th Street.
