WACO (January 8, 2013)--A Waco man was held Tuesday in the county jail awaiting transfer to a state jail after he pleaded guilty to stealing a woman car and assaulting her.

Victor Demitrious Carroll, 29, was listed on the McLennan County Jail log as being held without bond, and awaiting transfer to a state facility after he pleaded guilty Monday to unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

Carroll was arrested May 19, 2012 after police responded to a domestic disturbance on Kennedy Circle.

A woman at the residence reported a man had struck her in the face and stolen her car.

Carroll initially was charged with robbery but pleaded guilty to the lesser offense on Monday 19th District Court.
