WACO (October 1, 2012)--What began as an auto burglary turned into an aggravated robbery after a man pulled a handgun on the car’s owner.
Marchon Dazeon Slaughter, 24, turned himself Sunday night and was booked into the McLennan County Jail charged with aggravated robbery.
He later posted a $50,000 bond and was released.
Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton said at around 5:15 a.m. on Sept. 10 a woman was awakened by a loud noise outside her apartment.
Swanton said she went outside, discovered a man inside her car and confronted him.
The man pulled a handgun and threatened the woman before he fled.
She was able to get his license plate number, however, and detectives later used it to identify a suspect, Swanton said.
Swanton said no one was injured in the incident.
