WACO (March 4, 2013)--Jury selection was underway Monday afternoon in Waco in the trial of a local man who is charged with super aggravated sexual assault of a child.

Keith Allen Jones was arrested in August 2010 and indicted in June 2011 on the charge.

Jones also was indicted for two counts of indecency with a child by contact but those charges are not among the charges he's being tried for in 54th District Court.

Assistant McLennan County District Attorney Michelle Voirin said at the time the super child sexual assault charge indicates the victim was younger than 6 at the time of the alleged offense.

Voirin said according to the indictment the assaults happened in July 2010 at a residence in McLennan County.

The super sexual assault charge is a first-degree felony, punishable by a term of 5 to 99 years or life in prison.
