WACO (November 14, 2012)--A Waco man was indicted Wednesday for capital murder in connection with the Sept. 23 shooting death of his wife at a local apartment complex.

Us Carnell Petetan was indicted in the death of Kimberly Petetan, 41, who was shot repeatedly during what police say was a heated argument at the Landing Apartments, in the 2500 block of East Lake Shore Drive in Waco.

Petetan was held Wednesday in the McLennan County Jail in lieu of $250,000 bond and without bond on a parole violation, jail records show.

Petetan was arrested the next day in Bryan after he was stopped on a traffic violation and officers discovered he was named in a warrant.

Police also recovered Kimberley Petetan's 9-year-old daughter, who police say had been abducted from the scene of the shooting the day before.

The child wasn’t harmed and was released to other family members.

The Petetans were married, but weren't living together at the time of the shooting, police said.
