WACO (February 21, 2013)--A Lorena man was held Thursday in the McLennan County Jail charged with sexual assault.
Lawrence Steven Strowger, Jr., 29, was ordered held in lieu of $20,000 bond.
Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton said officers were sent just after 9:30 a.m. to an apartment in North Waco after the resident there reported she had been sexually assaulted.
Officers learned the woman knew her attacker and she identified him to police.
A very short time later police arrested Strowger near McLennan Community College without incident.
Swanton said Strowger reported an address in Lorena and that he currently is unemployed.
