WACO (November 21, 2012)-A woman sought by Waco police in connection with a forgery was arrested and charged Tuesday and then later released on bond.
Margaret Kathleen Coomer, 19, was released Tuesday after posting a $10,000 bond on charges of forgery and theft more than $1,500 but less than $20,000, according to McLennan County Jail records.
Waco police asked the public for help identifying Coomer after a picture was captured in October on a surveillance camera at Cobie's convenience store, where police say a woman attempted to cash a forged check.
Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton said at about 1:45 p.m. on Oct 31, a woman walked into Cobie's convenience store on Dutton Avenue and attempted to cash a forged check.
Swanton said the woman had a tattoo, which police believed was a cross with Rosary beads.
