Waco: Repairs Created On Damaged Pipe, But Sinkhole Remains

WACO (May 3, 2013)—Crews completed repairs Friday on an 48-inch sewage pipeline that failed Wednesday afternoon, creating a large sinkhole on University Parks Drive near Baylor’s Robinson Tower in Waco.

The street will remain closed until next week, however because of the sinkhole.

Crews will begin repairs on the road surface Monday and if all goes as planned, the street should reopen by Wednesday.

Drivers are advised to use South 4th Street to reach locations in downtown Waco.
