WACO (October 22, 2012)--Three teenagers were held Monday in the Bill Logue Juvenile Justice Center after their arrest for assaulting a woman and stealing her groceries.

Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton said just before 8 p.m. Sunday a woman was leaving the Family Dollar Store at Sherman Street and East Waco Drive when the three teenagers ran up to her, hit her in the face, and stole several bags of groceries she was carrying to her car.

Swanton said the three teens escaped on bicycles but patrol officers located them and arrested them a short time later.

Because of their ages, the teens’ names weren’t released.
