WACO (November 22, 2012)—Dozens of volunteers, some from as far away as Dallas and Austin, went to work early Thursday morning as Waco’s Friends for Life prepared to delivery 400 Thanksgiving meals to homebound and disabled residents.
Local businesses and restaurants donated the food, including 56 turkeys, 14 large pans of dressing, mashed potatoes, green beans, bread, pie and tea.
Friends for Life has been delivering Thanksgiving meals to Waco area residents for more than 15 years.
