Waco: Woman Attacked, Robbed Outside Local Store

Waco police were searching a neighborhood Wednesday afternoon for a man who accosted a woman outside a local store and stole her purse.

WACO (February 20, 2013)-Police were searching the Brookview neighborhood Wednesday afternoon in Waco after a woman reported that a man attacked her and stole her purse.

Police were sent to the Family Dollar store at North 34th and Bosque Boulevard just before 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in response to the call.

Officers said the woman told them she was walking in the parking lot when a man approached her, accosted her and stole her purse.

The man was black and was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and khaki shorts.

He was last seen running toward Bosque Boulevard carrying the woman's purse.

Officers fanned out throughout the area in an attempt to find him.
