WACO (August 7, 2012)—A woman was taken by ambulance to a local hospital just after noon Tuesday after the Chevrolet Suburban she was driving and a second Suburban collided on Franklin Avenue near South 27th Street.
Firefighters had to force the driver's side door of the Suburban open to get the woman out.
She was taken to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries, police said.
The driver of the other Suburban was not injured.
Eastbound traffic was slowed on Franklin until crews cleared the roadway.
