WACO (November 21, 2012)--Baylor law student Brittany V. Wray has won the 2012 Law Student Pro Bono Award from the Texas Access to Justice Commission.
The award reflects a passion for advocating on behalf of underserved populations, substantial performance of legal pro bono service (as opposed to general public service) and involvement in public service-oriented law student groups.
This was Wray’s second summer working as an intern for the Texas Access to Justice Commission. Her concentration is in estate planning.
Wray was given the award at the New Layer Induction Ceremony held in Austin.
She received a $2,000 stipend in addition to the award.
Both of Wray’s parents are legal aid attorneys.
