WACO (January 11, 2013)--Baylor University has received a monetary gift to be used for educational programs at the George W. Truett Theological Seminary.
Friends and family provided the unspecified amount on behalf of Dr. Foy Valentine, a 1944 Baylor graduate and Baptist ethicist who founded and edited the journal “Christian Ethics Today.”
His career focus included family life, separation of church and state, civil rights and citizenship, a Baylor spokesperson said.
The gift will be used to support the teaching of specialized courses in Christian Ethics at the seminary.
