WACO (February 20, 2013)--The Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce and Baylor University’s Accelerated Ventures program are coming together to bring more businesses to the area.
The chamber is providing free office space and professional support to students of Baylor’s Accelerated Ventures program.
The program is a two-semester course that enables students to create real companies by raising funds, launching products and services and generating sales.
The partnership is intended to give the businesses the tools necessary to succeed and become a thriving area business.
ThInc Space, located on the first floor of 801 Washington Avenue, will serve as the headquarters for the Accelerated Ventures program and will continue to serve students up to one year after graduation.
According to Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce Director of Urban Development Chris McGowan, Baylor University was recently indentified as home to the number two entrepreneurship program in the United States.
