WACO (September 5, 2012)--Central Christian Church is sponsoring a free family picnic Saturday to benefit the Children’s Craniofacial Association (CCA).
From 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. families will enjoy food, fun and learn about the condition that affects one in 1000,000 children born each year, according to the CCA.
Facial differences can sometimes be corrected while the child is still an infant, but for some families correcting the facial difference is impossible.
For those families, the CCA works to bring a message to the community: “beyond the face is a heart.”
The church is holding the event in honor of National Craniofacial Acceptance Month.
