WACO (February 21, 2013)--The Central Library will host their grand reopening Sunday to celebrate its newly renovated building on Austin Ave.
The reopening will begin with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. and activities and building tours will be scheduled throughout the day until 4 p.m.
Updates to the building totaled $6,000,000 and included a brightly colored atrium entrance, a courtyard for outdoor readings and puppet shows, a new climate control system, larger youth reading sections, and other updates to modernize the library.
Puppet shows, arts and crafts, food, games, and giveaways are all scheduled as part of the grand reopening.
The event is free and open to the public.
